Prior to the renovation, the dental clinic retained the original layout of the building. Due to an increase in the number of patients and in the team of professionals attending to them, several of the original spaces had to be reconfigured to reflect a new functioning scheme.
The renovation project focused primarily on improving the facilities, optimising the spaces with a more open-plan layout and enhanced lighting, and completely renovating the reception area and waiting room.
During the design phase, we suggested to our client that a modern, contemporary aesthetic language would be an appropriate choice, creating an atmosphere of transparency and calm which is optimal for patient wellbeing. In order to achieve this, we created large, clean, well-connected spaces, incorporating wenge wood, lacquers and glass as a key part of the design.
In order to facilitate access to the various treatment cubicles visually, we installed an entrance partition with a sequence of fixed glazed doors, to which a series of coloured vinyls were subsequently affixed to customise and signpost them.
